Love is blind? How true is the statement?

Life’s been terribly hectic for me this week. I’ve personally feeling very bad for couple of weeks. Cross-fingered that after today everything will be alright and smooth. =)

Good news to update, my blog is going to have its Anniversary very soon. I’m very happy and amazed of myself that I certainly never thought I would come this far. My blog is the only place that I could feel loved and de-stress after all the errands in reality. Honestly speaking without your loves and comments, I wouldn’t have hang on there and continue blogging till now. I’m really thankful that I have all of your love! <3 nbsp="nbsp">

Talking about love, I’ve encountered certain issues especially people around my circles which I personally wanted to share and hear for opinions from you girls. The above video I watched recently is also one of the reason why I am sharing this.

Love is in everyone’s blood. I believe everyone here falls in love, I’m pretty sure and we can’t live without it. Imagine how you actually fall in love with pretty dress. Pretty shoes. Pretty makeup. Or even pretty boy? Lol.

And when you’re in love, the person you love seems to be the best of the best. You think that you have never seen such a person before and he is the only one. And you want to prove your love. Does that exactly explains when you fall in love with a pretty Jimmy Choo’s shoe and you prove your love by bringing the new pair back home?

The situation happens every single day, no matter what happens whether it is a shoe or a HIM. To fall in love is easy, and when two people look at each other for a lifetime it’s a miracle where marriage take parts. “A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. A good marriage is at least 80% good luck in finding the right person at the right time. The rest is trust” - FullofBourbon

How do you define the right person? For me, it’s all depends. But there’s something to ensure you that there’s always reason why people fall in love with Jimmy Choo’s shoe but not Loubutin. And if you asked me why? I don’t know. But I definitely will not fall in love with Jimmy Choo if he doesn’t have the below:

HONESTLY
Much said about honestly, it is one of the most important values in a relationship. Relationship is like a house with no door or window. While honestly is the window and door that keep your house safe and secure. When you lie, you run the risk of breaking the trust in the relationship. Just like you break your own house door, you lost the sense of security. Much as woman would like to hear that she looks great in that dress, in her heart of hearts, she knows the answer and wants you to spell it out for her, loud and clear. Don’t fool around with her feelings under the pretext of “not wanting to hurt her”. Be honest with her and communicate, she’ll be grateful and happier.

Review: Koji Dolly Wink Eyelashes No.1 (Dolly Sweet)

When you see the title you know what it is about. It is one of the most reviewed false eyelashes till date when you Google it. And I am the no.123456 blogger who actually going to share my thought on this. This Koji Dolly Wink Eye Lashes No.1 (Dolly Sweet) is my second box from Dolly Wink. My first one was the Dolly Wink Limited Edition Eyelash Set that I reviewed last year.

Ever since then, I am hooked with their products!! Dolly Wink is a brand produced by the Japanese famous Popteen Gyaru Model - Tsubasa Masuwaka. Look at her tiny size and how cute she is, you'll never believe she's a mother. o_o

I really like the packaging of the Dolly Wink eyelashes. Thumbs up for Tsubasa and the company for putting extra effort on it. (But their latest packaging had changed and look simple though).

One package only comes with 2 sets of upper lashes and one tiny cute pink polka dots eyelash glue. At the first glance, you'll find the lashes are soooo long. The lash strips are very long that I had to trim a huge section to match my eyes.

Despite of how long it is, the lashes definitely works very well for gyaru style because they emphasize towards the outer corner of the eyes. This is how it looks on Tsubasa Masuwaka. Isn't her eyes look beautiful?? Look at how the lashes winged up at the corner of her eyes.

Their lash band is quite thin and moderately soft so it is very easy for you to stick it on! I love those lash band which is clear because I don't have to draw a line over the lash band so it couldn't be seen. I do that with other false lashes brand I had but definitely not this!

The lashes are light-weighted and very comfortable to wear on. I wore for almost 8 hours and I felt like nothing at all~~  And this is how it actually look on my eyes!! ^_^

Love them!! ♥ ♥
Dollywink No.1 (Upper Lashes) & Dollywink No.6 (Lower lashes)
Isn't it pretty?? =) I like how most of the Dollywink eyelashes make my inner double eyelid more prominent. The lashes does look very long and a bit dramatic from near. But it does look quite natural from further view. One thing about the lashes, it look really pretty in photos. ^_^

I won't recommend this for everyday use but this Dolly Wink Eyelashes in No.1 (Dolly Sweet) would be good for events, dinners, parties and etc. I wore this to the Elevate Event and here's my FOTD.

My FOTD

Although the price of Dolly Wink eyelashes is a bit steep for 2 pairs, but it is definitely worth the price you paid for. It is one of the best drugstore false eyelashes in terms of quality. It can last you numbers of wear provided you take a good care of them. Even if you don't, I believe it can last you for at least 3-4 times.

Dolly Wink Eyelashes No.1 (Dolly Sweet) can be found in retail Sasa store for RM55.90/box. (USD13). You can also get them at Supermodel's Secret at RM50/box only. ^_^

Beauty Box Series: Bellabox August Review

I got a message from courier service last Sunday telling me that he need to deliver something to me but no one at home. I am quite impressed with the service that when I got home the box is already on the table. ^_^  I don't expect my Bellabox reached me this early because usually my box will reached me later than anyone else. Most of them already revealed what is inside the box online. (kill the surprise right?)

August is a celebration month for both Singapore and Malaysia (National Day). So the theme would based on Happy Birthday Singapore! The packaging is so cute right?

First impression - the content of the box is quite light this month. But surprise me, I love it!!! Although they might not be full-filled with products, but it's totally worth it.

Facial Review: Cres Wellness Time-release AquaCell Yoga Visage Therapy

The best therapy for woman to de-stress is definitely going into facial and spa. Ever since I started my current job, I spent most of my time dedicated to my job and hence jeopardizing my once-upon-a-time beautiful and young face. Lol! My dark eyes circles been getting worst than ever, face started to shag, blackheads and pimples here and there and the worst thing is being so dull ~ ~

That's where makeup comes really important in life!! Which are not good because I couldn't show my boss how exhausted I am so he can give me some break. Lol! Approximately 2 weeks ago, I went to Cres Wellness so that I could still salvage my skin condition and of course de-stress. If you've been reading my blog, this gonna be my 3rd visit to Cres Wellness. Please read the previous visit >>>> here.

This time I was so happy that I got to try something that targeted to my de-hydrated skin. Did I mentioned that I am ALL into hydrating?? Time-release Aquacell Yoga Visage Therapy one of their new treatment launched recently by Cres Wellness targeted for dry & dehydrated skin by Replenishment & Oxygenating.

Elevate: Feel The Difference

I don't remember when was the last time I blogged about me attending an event! Given on my presence situation, I could hardly attend one even if I have an invitation. So I was presented an opportunity last week to attend the most happening scene between my reached at Legato Bistro & Bar, Johor. I have to say, most happening events will never make their way to the Southern area. There's usually in either KL or Penang. So thumbs up to the ELEVATE who make the difference of the night life in Johor!!

Trust me, I am not a party girl. With 10 fingers, you can count how many times I've been to a club. (Okay, probably with toes only =p) The event was held at Legato Bistro & Bar, Skudai, Johor. Initially the bar is quite new and this event could also consider as their grand opening. ^_^

Beauty Box Series: First in Malaysia - Fabulous Finds

Beauty box subscription has been a real business in our beauty world. Those have been reading my blog know that I'm all with this beauty box subscription craze! We've been admiring our neighbor country friends who get to received a beauty box every month for a period of time. And guess what?? The craze had now reached our shores. Approximately one month ago, Fabulous Finds had their launching event being the First Beauty Box Subscription in Malaysia. (Sadly, I wish I could be there ='( )

Excited ain't cha?? The most common question asked: how beauty box subscription works?? Every month, you need to pay a certain subscription fee amount for a box which inclusive of 4 - 5 beauty samples and products to deliver to your doorsteps.

My first impression was the package is huge!! The coral pink box is so cute and pretty!! After unboxing the box, you'll find the actual box hidden in there. Initially, the pink box are used to deliver and protect the actual box. Honestly, the way they packed the box are so similliar to the other beauty boxes that I've reviewed.

Review: Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream

BB creams better known as Blemish Balm is pretty much the a product with all of foundation, concealer, moisturizer, primer and etc. I've stopped using BB creams for months because those BB creams I have in my stash tends to oxidize and turn greyish on me. It was a nightmare when I started realize it clogged my pores!! I decided to pick up this tube during Watsons sale. No harm trying this drugstore product right?

They say:

Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream 8-IN-1 Skin Transformer. Our instant skin perfecting Cream is a perfect blend of 8 minerals ingredients. Our unique shade instantly improves and perfects your skin:
  • Brigthens skin: visible whitening effect
  • Covers imperfections: reduces the appearance of pores, skin redness disappears
  • Moisturizes + Protects: all day hydration + helps to protect skin from UV rays and free radical
Packaging:

This BB cream comes in a little plastic green of 18ml tube. Seriously 18ml seems very little eh??
The tube comes with a twist-to-open cap and a small nozzle. The small nozzle helps to control the amount of product when you squeeze.

Beauty Box Series: Bellabox Singapore July Edition

Those who have been reading my blogs, you should know that I am on the beauty box-craze. We have Bellabox, Vanity Trove and Glamabox here in Singapore. And I've stopped subscribing on Glamabox since May. Read why here >>>  here.

Both Bellabox and Vanity Trove are pretty much my favorite. But when time goes by, people expecting more and more from these beauty box companies and they have to take a move to upgrade and fulfilled the consumers' needs.

During June, Bellabox had decided to increased their price from $15/month to $19.95/month. Which much more and more premium brands in the box, some must have wonder is it worth to pay an extra $5 more?? The new rate will starts from August onwards. Let's see how this July box flares.

Source: Bellabox.sg
'Around the world' is the theme for July Bellabox. What's the best part of July box is 3 lucky members will get a gift from Tiffany. (I am not that lucky as always =( ) The below card explains the theme 'Around the World'. Products features in the box comes from different countries. ^_^

May Project Pan

Sorry for being MIA for quite a time. Time flies so fast that we're now half a year toward 2012. Wondering what will happened when December 2012 is coming around the corner. Anyway, I decided to share the products that I've frequently used and finished. Let's called it my Monthly Project Pan. This could also encourage me to finish my products before I made another unnecessary purchase.

For the month of May, I’ve finished about 8 products and most of them consist of my skincare. Well, skincare always the easier to hit-the-pan. Ain’t you think so?
Shiseido Aqualabel White Up Emulsion

This is actually my second bottle. I mentioned in my previous post here, that Aqualabel is a sister drugstore brand of Shiseido. So far I am lovin’ the emulsion. It hydrates my skin very well and absorb very quickly without feeling greasy and oily.

Repurchase: Yes. I have already stock up the emulsion. ^_^

Sharing my last thought of Beautybox - Glamabox.

And so it's another beauty box subcription. Apparently Glamabox is a company owned by Lisa S. (The supermodel and HK Star Daniel Wu's wife). The box are doing awesomely in Hong Kong and has now expanded to Taiwan, China and Singapore. I've reviewed one previously here.

The packaging of the box did not change ever since I subscribed with them last year. But this pink 'pizza' like box is so huge that I can store so many stuff in. I would much pretty if their box is smaller and compact so that you don't feel to little samples in there.

Their packaging goes like that with a pink paper and a Glamabox sticket wrap. Quite disappointed that they did not use any ribbon like what they did last time.

After I commented that they did not list down the product list on the box, they finally did revamp a bit which I glad they did.

And this is what I got for the month of May celebrating the Mothers' Day theme as well!!

Beauty Box in Malaysia - Vanity Trove April Edition

I guess I have already mentioned quite a times in my blog that we now have monthly beauty box subscription service in Malaysia!! I've previously reviewed about Vanity Trove here. I had mentioned in my previous post that out of 3 different beauty-box I had tried, I actually stopped one of the subscription. So now let's take a look how do I feel about Vanity Trove.

If you girls are still blur about how beauty box subscription works, check out my in-dept explaination in my previous post here. I actually posted out a sneak-peek of the box here when I attended their event last month.

I always like the packaging of how Vanity Trove packed. Their pink and white box are quite huge in size comparing with Bellabox and Glamabox. And their box are more sturdy which you can use them to store other accessories.

My May Bellabox

You know how beauty box subcription has been a trend in the beauty industry right now? Like I had mentioned previously we have 3 different companies here available in Singapore - Bellabox, Glamabox and Vanity Trove (which is the ONLY available one in Malaysia!!) . I actually stopped one for the subscription because it's kinda disappointed. So now I gonna show you each content of the box and you can take a guess which one I'd pulled out? ^_^
Bellabox came out with a very special packaging this month to celebrate the Mother's Day theme. The exclude the normal box and include a recycle bag which contained all the products. A great idea for eco-friendly but I still prefer the box.

Here you go with a little description and note about the theme:

Review: Enavose Cellogist Youth Guard Cream

The word Youth used in beauty products are always related to anti-aging. Agree with me?? My definition of 'Youth' mean a person who's aged between 13 to 19 -who's rather young. ^_^ People who fall between this age often have a great skin to start with (even some may have acne issues, but their skin are firmer, bouncier and more elastic) When your age grow, your skin grow. You'll start to feel that your skin started to shag a little, becoming drier especially eye areas and not that bouncy/firm anymore. That's a sign of aging!! O_o So what's the TOP SECRET to prevent it??

I finally reached the age where we need to start using anti-aging products. (No prize for guessing my age right) To be honest, when I was sent to review this product I was undecided. Why? Because it really means that I am aging. Thus, this gonna be my first anti-aging products in my entire life. Someday I just gonna start using it, might as well now!! =D That's when my courage came in. Well, what's more when Enovase Cellogist Youth Guard Cream is an award winning STAR products Style Best Beauty Buys 2011 and CozyCot Holy Grail Beauty Awards 2011 – Best Cellular Youth Protection. (So yeah~~ I am truly convinced)

Cancer Patients Can Still Feel Beautiful

This will be a long writing post with only a few pics. But I just need you ladies to spare me your 5 minutes to read this article. =))
I have always had a passion for fashion-from shoes to makeup, nail polish to handbags, and everything in between! Coupled with that is belief that all women need to feel beautiful, no matter what circumstances they may be facing. Women are powerful beings and WE need to realize it! Sadly, many women are hearing those devastating words 'you have cancer.' Despite a cancer diagnosis, women can still feel beautiful in their own skin. Fashion is a wonderful way to feel strong and confident.
And today my guest blogger Jackie Clark from Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance will share you the reality of cancer and how women can say 'YES I have cancer'.

Every woman wants to feel beautiful. Whole industries have been created to make hair shinier, skin clearer, and eyes more alluring. And in fact, while some may deride this as mere vanity, liking the reflection in the mirror is a great confidence booster. Who doesn't take care to dress and groom their best for a job interview or first date? Sometimes, looking good helps to bolster confidence to allow a woman to face a difficult situation. Conversely, when a woman knows she looks bad, it undermines her confidence and she doesn't deal as effectively. At no time does a woman need her confidence more than when facing a diagnosis of cancer. And at no other time does looking good become so difficult.

Part of what makes looking good so difficult when going through cancer is the effects of the treatment. Take the treatments for mesothelioma for example. Surgery, sometimes quite radical, radiation, and chemotherapy all leave a patient pale, weak, and feeling terrible. While most people understand that chemotherapy makes someone lose their hair, many don't realize that means all the hair on the body, including eyebrows and eyelashes. Already feeling sick and scared, when a woman looks in the mirror and sees someone who looks like a concentration camp victim looking back, it can be difficult to soldier on through the day.

But through the wonder of cosmetics, a woman can look better. Makeup, especially mineral based makeup, can return the color to a woman's face. First, the foundation, evens out the blotchy skin and brings color to the pallor. A little blush makes the cheeks look healthy again. Perhaps a little bronzer might make her look even healthier.

For many women, chemo means that makeup is no longer optional but necessary. Some women might choose a wig while others find scarves and hats suit better. Some women even find that braving the world while bald is empowering. But rare is the woman that won't benefit from makeup. Eyebrow pencil fills in where chemo has stripped the brow. Eyeliner can create the illusion of eyelashes. So when the patient looks in the mirror, a confident, beautiful woman looks back. Battling cancer is scary, anything that gives a patient more assurance is a valuable thing.

Cancer is a disease whose treatment can take as large a toll on a person as the disease itself. Human beings are a visual species and whether we should or not, we judge what we see and act accordingly. So when a patient is a woman and she dreads to look in the mirror, it just makes the whole ordeal more difficult. But when good cosmetics are available, she can take confidence in her appearance and that translates into confidence to take on her disease. This is not vanity but treatment in and of itself.

Hope you enjoy this little article here. Do share with your friends ya!! :D

Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk with SPF50 PA++

As my readers, you girls should know that I adore Hada Labo's products! Their famous 'One Drop Lock An Ocean' is not longer an unfamiliar term in the beauty world. I've also reviewed a few of their products here. And today I gonna review their latest new released product - Hada Labo SHA (Super Hyaluronic Acid) Moisturizing UV Milk with SPF50 PA++!! (That's a mouthful name O_o )  In short, it is better known as sunblock. =p

Talking about sun protection/ sunblock (which ever you prefer to call), I need to educate and stress my readers that you need to apply sun protection everyday!! Why?? Because the sun/UV rays are harmful to your skin!! Repeated exposure of unprotected skin may increase the risk of skin cancer, sunburn and other effects can include wrinkling, premature aging, and in time, an almost leathery appearance of the skin. You don't wanna look older than your age, don't you? I'll discuss the topic individually next time.

To be honest, I don't  have the tendency to apply sunblock until late of last year. One word - Lazy. Second - Oily. I couldn't help on the first reason but if you were to worry about the latter, there's always a solution. This new Hada Labo SHA Moisturizing UV Milk is the one.

Pretty, Sexy, Beautiful Eyes Blogging Contest

You must wondering why on the earth that this small eyes Cynthia define her eyes as pretty, sexy and beautiful. The worst is she's in a blogging contest. Lol! To be honest, I am born with small eyes (inner double eyelid to be exact). So those pretty, sexy and beautiful are too far NOT in my dictionary. =(  Nevertheless, I was given a chance to dream having a pretty, sexy and beautiful eyes. What do you think eh?? Lol! (Scroll down to see how)

Whatever it is, it's not important. The most important subject I would like to talk about is my discovery of Mr.Lens! MrLens is the largest online contact lens reseller in Switzerland and parts of Europe! They're going global and has reach Asia which is now available in Malaysia too!!

MrLens are the largest online inventory of contact lenses at the lowest price in Malaysia. When I said lowest price, yes it is. My usual contact lens I bought are way cheaper about RM25/box!! I am not lying as I've been to this particular lens for years and very familiar with their pricing. You may check out from their website. And so you got a loyal customer from now on Mr.Lens!! =D =D *wallet-smilling*

I AM BACK!!!

I've been neglecting my blog for the past few months which I need to apologize to all my readers. It's almost two months life's been too happening between this period. My greatest impact of all was the lost of my beloved aunt (dad's side). Wouldn't want to elaborate much on that, but I guess it was a relieve for her to be a better place (Heaven).

Not much hauls on beauty this month. Approximately 2 weeks ago, I was invited for a Spa-ty with Vanity Trove at Masego Spa. The best part about this was everyone of us got a 60 mins of hot stone back massage from Masego Spa. (A great way to relieve stress for me).
At the event with the fans and Senior Brand Manager - Esther (Left)
Pic: Courtesy of Vanity Trove FB.
If you girls ever wonder what is Vanity Trove, it is a beauty box subscription that they delivered to your house every month and it's now available in Malaysia. Do check out my previous review here. There are definitely one of my favorite beauty box subscriptions among all that available here.

Speaking of beauty boxes, I have subscribe to Vanity Trove, BellaBox and Glamabox every month. Till date now, I plan to cancel one of them that kinda disappointed me for a number of times. Here's some sneakpeak of what we got in each different boxes for the month of April.

The box itself smells so good~~
And they gave us two full size products this month which is worth the price I paid for!!
