Review: NYX Concealer in Jar (Beige)

Basically everyone is looking for a concealer that does the job! Besides concealing our flaws, dark eye circles and pimples, we want them to last on us till the end of the day. Basically you don't need to have hundreds of concealer in your drawer, one or two is enough for you.

Previously, I have reviewed the Revlon and ELF concealer. Today I gonna intro you any cheap and affordable brand, NYX Concealer in Jar. I believe most people must have heard of them and some raves and rants. And now I gonna share my point of view.
 Packaging:
The name said it all: Concealer in Jar. The plastic concealer jar are quite light and somehow reminds me of MAC concealer too.  It comes with a 7g of concealer which is quite a lot for a cream concealer. Imagine how long can I hit the pan.

Ingredients:
I noticed Mineral Oil is stated as one of the ingredients on the packaging. I was quite surprised because I do have allergy with mineral oil but so far I do not encounter any breakout from this concealer yet. *Touchwood*

Texture:
The texture are quite creamy but it is easy to blend with. I usually use this concealer with my Ecotools concealer brush, I find it more hygienic than using my finger.

My review:

Despite of the creamy texture, I find this concealer works quite well on my skin. It comes in 13 different colors range for you to choose and I'm glad I chose the right color Beige that suits my NC30 skin well enough. Cream concealer are known as one of the strongest coverage you can get compare to liquid.

I've been using this as my daily concealer to replace my favorite Revlon (I left Revlon at my  hometown). Nevertheless this concealer did an amazing job in covering my dark eyes circles, redness on my nose and acne scars in just a few minutes.

Here's the pic for your judgement:
Before & After
I accidentally applied quite a lot of concealer in the pic. So it does look a bit cakey. But the right and adequate amount could do the job and reduce the cakey look. The texture does look creamy but when it blended, it's goes as well as liquid. Lasting power are quite average around 5-6hours. The only cons about this concealer is that it creases easily. I have a tendency to rub my eyes, so whenever I rub my eyes it pulls off a little revealing my panda eyes. :((

Rating: 4/5 Me Likey!!

Honestly, I was quite amazed with this concealer because I don't have high expectation on them despite the pricing. For the price of US$5, it definitely worth a try!! It's the best cream concealer (for drugstore) I've tried so far.

How about you? Have you tried this before?

I hear a lot of good reviews on this concealer, but I've never tried it. But considering it's so cheap, it wouldn't hurt to give it a try :)

The mineral oil is indeed the downside of this concealer. But to conceal undereyes, it would be safe I reckon.
