Review: Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Skincare

Life's been really busy for me nowadays. As all of you'd heard, my dad had been admitted to hospital for a heart operation. Thanks for all the best wishes and concerns, his condition is getting better now. Due to the hectic and frequently travel back and forth to hospital, I did not have a good sleep or even time to really take care of my skin. :p

That's when I had a little acne breakout time. Out of coincidence, I was sent to review this Eucerin DermoPURIFYER skincare products.

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER range is an innovative skincare range developed to keep teenagers and adults skin clean, soft and healthy-looking without the drying, irritating effects found in other acne treatment products.  This range contains skin-natural Lactic Acid to effectively eradicate acne, pimples, whiteheads and blackheads.

The problem?? ACNE SKIN?

How Lactic Acid works?
TARGETS: clogged pores where acne and skin impurities originate
TREATS: inflamed acne and unblocks clogged pores, without drying out skin pr causing flakiness
PREVENTS: fight acne-causing bacteria and stops the formation of new acne
PROMISES: a healthy, clearer complexion within 3 weeks

    Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser (200ml)
The light oil-free cleanser is clinically proven to treat acne problems effectively and gently by reducing excess sebum while it deeply cleanses. It contains 6% Ampho-tenside System which is highly compatible to any skin type.
One thing about this cleanser is the packaging tip. I love the press and open top because I feel it was easy to control the amount use and it's cleaner compare to the normal tube packaging. ^_^
The watery transparent cleanser are very easy to lather to our skin. The best thing about this cleanser I like is it is scentless which I personally felt not too harsh. I have a thing on this cleanser which I find it kinda drying for my skin. I always felt my face are thigh after using this and a slight flakiness. But I'll explained further later.

    Packaging: 4/5
    Value: 4/5
    Price: 4/5 (S$21.80)
Overall: 4/5 A good cleanser for acne-prone skin.
    Repurchase: Maybe

    Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Scrub (100ml)
This scrub can be use for deep daily cleansing and pores refining without irritates the skin. It helps remove blackheads while being extra gentle for everyday use. The 1%  Lactic acid beads is the antibacterial and natural moisturizing factor. It is also said to be compatible with common use acne medications.
The texture can be harsh too harsh for pimples and acne. But out of my surprised, it works well on my acne skin. Although it stated it can be use daily but I personally think once to twice a week is more than enough especially you doesn't want to over-scrub your face.
    Packaging: 4/5
    Value: 4.5/5
    Price: 4/5 (S$18.60)
Overall: 4.5/5 One of the effective scrub I like!!
    Repurchase: Yes!

    Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cream-Gel (50ml)
Contrary to popular belief, moisturizing oily skin is key in regulating excess sebum production in the skin. The water-based crème gel helps reduces acne within three weeks while keeping skin hydrated and oil-free. The 2% of Lactic Acid ingredients and comedolytic action helps to keep the moisture and also decreases oil production.
The texture of the cream moisturizer is more like cream-gel like feeling. If you think this cream moisturizer is too oily for oily skin? Then you are so wrong. I was kinda amazed by this cream it feel fresh and matte on my skin. Not oily and doesn't feel greasy at all. I'm so used to my hydrating moisturizer which gives me a watery and glowy look. So when I first applied this, my face look so matte, not shiny at all which I think is good for oily skin.
To be honest, I dislike the scent of this cream. It smells so like..Lactic Acid? Ok, how does Lactic Acid smells? It smells somehow like those chemical smell I used to smell in my science lab & I just couldn't take the smell every time I'm using it. But I guess I'm used to it now.. :p

    Packaging: 4/5
    Value: 3.5/5
    Price: 4/5 (S$25.70)
    Overall: 3.8/5
    Repurchase: Maybe

    Overall Review:
For the first few days I used these products, my skin breakouts. Not very bad but a few pimples popped out. I was very angry and disappointed with it that I almost stop using it. But hey! These products are for acne skin, isn't this should be working for my pimples? So, I gave these another chance. Significantly after one week, I saw my pimples reduce which is a great news!! I've been using this for almost 1.5week and here's the before and after pic:

FYI: I was only given 1.5week duration to review these products by the PR, so I couldn't wait till 3 weeks to show the result.

Afterall, you can see the differences huh?

PS: There is a promotion pack now selling at Watson: Buy one creme-gel free full size of scrub or buy one cleanser free full size of scrub which I think is worth it!!
