Review & Swatches: ELF Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil

I was browsing at the ELF website and I saw to this eyeliner. Colorful eyeliners for only one buck? I got tempted and bought 4 different shades of these eyeliners. Seriously I don't have high expectation on these as it only cost one dollar. But ELF may surprise us just like ELF studio line.

The ELF Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil are available in ELF website for 9 different shades. These liners are definitely metallic and gorgeous. They seems pretty pigmented and glides on and brighten the eyes with a pop of metallic color.
Top to Bottom: Plum Passion, Precious Pink, Boldly Bronze, Twinkle Teal
They say:
" Instantly brighten eyes with e.l.f.’s shimmering metallic liners that put the spotlight on eyes. The smooth formulation glides on effortlessly without tugging at the delicate eye area. Choose from an assortment of 9 delicious and essential shades designed to add depth, definition and a special sparkle to create a very glamorous look! Pencil includes a convenient sharpener cap for easy use! "
Ingredients:
The packaging of these eyeliners are similiar with the ELF Studio Concealer Pencil. It is attached together with a cap-sharpener but the sharpener seems to digs into the eyeliner which is pretty messy! When I removed the cap for the first time, the tip of the eyeliner smashed and got into the sharpener which is quite a waste. >.<
My say:
These eyeliners glide on smooth and pigmented. The glitter metallic color are bold enough to pop on eyes. The glitter on these eyeliners are acceptable not too shimmery and the glittery doesn't fall-out on my lids unlike other eyeliners I've tried. Don't believe? Let's the picture do the say.
L to R: Boldly Bronze, Precious Pink, Plum Passion, Twinkle Teal
The colors are pretty right? I'm pretty happy with the color shown up on my skin. The eyeliners are sooo creamy and very soft. Sometimes when you pressed to hard, the tip will bent and smash. So, you gonna be real careful while using these.

Unfortunately, these liners does not last on me and smudge after an hour on my waterline. If you expect a long-lasting liners, the these may disappoint you. Therefore, this would be best use as an eyeshadow base. I tried this as my eyeshadow base and it works wonderful.

Rating: 3.9/5.0  A great-value product

A little EOTD with this liner:
Twinkle Teal on top and Plum Passion on lower waterline

For only USD1, this product is good enough. I wouldn't mind to spend more to get more funky colors. :)
At least, there are many colors for me to play with.

I do think that the shimmer is acceptable. For the price of USD1, why not give it a try? ELF have promotion most of the time.

Hi dear, sadly ELF doesn't ship to Asia anymore. I ordered ELF through spree from Lowyat.net.
