Review: ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

Ever since I've been addicted to cosmetic, there's always one product I want. An eye primer. Previously I've bought the ELF eye primer, but there came in the highly raved and cheap eye primer the ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer.

The best part of this is no paraben. Which is really good. I love how it has vitamin E oil in it and nothing I'm allergic too. (I had sensitive skin and tends to allergy to mineral - but this doesn't breaks me out)

The packaging come with a normal lip-gloss like and a brush applicator.

ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer is said to be sheer but I don't think is sheer due to its creamy texture. The creamy texture dries quickly and absorb into your skin leaving it smooth and ready for eye makeup application. I do not own a UDPP, therefore I can't compare with it. But many bloggers out there had raved this primer equivalent with UDPP. Not sure how true it is, but after all this ELF Primer only cost you US$3. Why not have a try?

Here's the comparison on my hand with and without the eyeshadow primer. From the picture, it does make my eyeshadow color more vibrant on its own. Besides, it makes my eyeshadow easier to blend with/apply (even cream and powder eyeshadow).

What we care most about eye primer is the power of long lasting and crease-free. Here I experimented it under the tap water. (I know it is not waterproof, just in case if we were under the rain/cry/sweat :p ).

After rubbing it for 3 times under the water, here's the result:
(Although is not really waterproof, but we can see with ELF primer the eyeshadow crease-less :) )

Seriously, this eyeshadow primer prevents my eyeshadow from creasing or fading all day (even the NYX jumbo eye pencils- which crease really badly).

Lasting power? It does last for at least 12 hours (I normal eyeshadow start crease on me after 5-6hours). For the price of US$3, this primer is definitely works great and amazing!! razz

Rating: 4.8/5

For the price, it's a steal! With the same product functions with UDPP, ELF primer is so much cheaper, so it's perfect for everyday/work wear. It definitely an alternative for those who doesn't want to fork out so much for an eye primer. This worth a try! Once I finish mine, I'll definitely re-purchase it.

Short Update

My life's been very busy for this week as I'm still adapting with my new working life. Working life has took most of my time. Therefore I didn't get much time to shop or pamper myself. Nevertheless I still get to spare a few hours to stock in my skincare products. My hauls:
Lancome Blanc Expert Hydrating Cream (with lots lots of samples)
Artistry Pure White cleanser & Toner
Artistry Pore Cleansing Masque
Cellnique Hydrating Intensive Complex (From Cellnique)

I had to apologize to my readers that currently I'm not able to review any of the cosmetic related products. I'm having a bad breakouts and eczema due to the environment changes and stress. Ya, I'm working under-stressed now. Therefore, I went to my dermatologist and I were prescribed some medication. sad Doc said it will need at least 3months for me to fully recover. For the sake of my skin, I'm on free-makeup days now. If anyone of you have any ideas on how to cure my acne problems, do let me know. wink

Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion

When this product first came to Malaysia, I was tempted by their advertisement especially when this product is a major hit in Japan, selling one every 4 seconds since its launched. eek

The star product Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Lotion contains advanced skin hydrating ingredient- the Super Hyaluronic Acid, with twice the moisture retention capacity of Hyaluronic Acid (1gm of Hyaluronic Acid is able to hold up 6 litres of water). Amazing isn't it?

You must be wondering what is this 'lotion' for? In Japan, this as the second step in their skincare routine which we called as toner. Hada Labo contains no additives, colorants, fragrance or mineral oil which can be use on sensitive skin. The packaging of the product is simple. The nozzle on top control the amount of product you use.

The lotion is colorless and fragrant-fee. You may feel more like water in your hand. As you can see in the pic the lotion is very watery, therefore a few drops is more than enough for your whole face. What I do is apply an appropriate amount of the lotion on my palm, rub it with my both hands and start patting it on my skin.

Pat until the product dry into your skin. Do beware it takes a moment for you to pat and pat on your skin. So this product is not suitable when you're on hurry. While patting, I do encounter some stickiness on my skin. But once it absorb into my skin, the stickiness went off leaving my skin feel soft and hydrated.

My skin looking glowy and hydrated on the right pic isn't it? This lotion helps to keep my skin hydrated and even reduced my clogged pores. The bottle I'm using now is almost finish. razz

Rating: 4/5

Overall, this is a good product I would recommend to all of you if you want to keep your skin hydrated. With the affordable price and result, now you see why it is sold every 4 seconds in Japan. This product is widely available in Guardian now.

Bangkok drained

Just a quick share with you guys. I've read about the news of Bangkok and red weeks ago and things getting worst now. We all know Bangkok is a marvelous place for shopping and holiday but today our beloved place the Bangkok world central area has been utterly destroyed. Here's some pics to share:

The Bangkok central street where the chaotic incidents broke out from the red-shirt protest.
The most shocking news that I've heard is that Siam Square and Paragon are attacked by the red-shirt protest right after their core leaders have called off the red-shirt protest yesterday. Siam Paragon is one of the biggest shopping mall in Asia. Some of the most renowned boutiques found in Siam Paragon include Gucci, Balenciaga, Burberry and many other upmarket brands. There are even car showrooms such as Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini. (Which Malaysia doesn't have).

The Siam Paragon (before):

The Siam Paragon (now):Many small shops were also destroyed, ruining the livelihoods of the independent owners of those businesses. Thankfully the damage was limited mostly to the department store and this end of the mall. The remainder of the mall are safe. But the central structure of the department store collapsed after the fire. Report says that because of the extent of damage, the Central World will have to be demolished. The damage of the shopping malls gutted most of the tourists and shopaholics (me!).

All the pictures and resources are from a freelance American writer. Do check his FB page for more information. Lastly,
this picture which I took from random thai blogger that compares a clip from Resident Evil 4 to the real skyline of Bangkok yesterday. This reminds me so much of the atmosphere in US on 11 September 2001.Is a sad story for those who haven't been to Bangkok and I'm on of them sad. I've booked a flight to Bangkok on Oct but looking at this incident, there are slightly any chances I will fly there. Besides, we won't be able to shop on Siam Paragon, Central World Mall and other nice places in Bangkok anymore. I wonder when will this war end?

Product Review: Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Gel

Do you exfoliate your face weekly to remove the dead skin cells? Yes I do and here I found one of the most expensive scrub in my stash.

The Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Gel by Amore Pacific is a gentle peeling scrub that exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal radiant skin.
Strawberry is a natural occuring alpha hydroxy acid. It sloughs off dead skin cells, especially on dry skin that tends to clog pores, causing dull skin and breakouts. New and improved version contains Yogurt Extract. Soft gel formula does not irritate skin. Non abrasive and suitable for all skin types. [Written on the box]
The pinky packaging look so cute and girly. If you love Strawberry, you will love this too. It has a slight smell of strawberry but not sweet and yummy enough. (Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Pack smell soo yummy~~ ♥) It come with 150ml which is a very big tube that can last you very long. (The picture above is sample size pic)
The texture is slightly watery when you squeeze out from the tube, therefore you gonna be extra careful on squeeze out too much product. And you only need a small amount of it to exfoliate your whole face. Did you see the little pink dot there? It is known as the strawberry particles that helps exfoliate your skin.

Massage the scrub gently on your skin until you see flakes appear. The flakes helps to take away the dead skin cells. Then rinse off with lukewarm water and you will instantly feel your skin as soft as baby skin. Honestly!

Rating: 4.8/5

I have a very sensitive and acne-prone skin. This product doesn't break me out or too harsh for me. Overall, it is a very good product! But the price is the only drawback. This product cost about RM80 per tube. eek I would really recommend this for those who have sensitive skin like me and of course have extra $$ to splurge on.

Any of you have found your best scrub or exfoliate? Do share. razz
