Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed

One particular natural blush that make it to my January Favorite Product is this Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed. I bought this blush last year (yes, I have it with me very long :p ) after reading the raves through blogs early last year.

They say:

A long-wearing, supremely soft blush infused with Amazonian clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun. This 12-hour blush universally benefits all skin types for a fade-free, flawless finish in shades ranging from soft to vivid and matte to shimmer to suit a wide variety of skin tones. Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place while also hydrating the skin naturally to restore moisture, reducing the appearance of dry, flaky skin. They are available in 12 different shades

Packaging:

I really like the overall packaging of the blush.  It comes in a size if a compact case intact with a small round mirror in. So it makes it easier to carry around except I think they should include a brush as well. But not an issue for me as I usually carry a small brush with me.

The actual cases are the same color as the blush inside, so you don't have to waste any time digging through compacts to find them.

Swatches & Texture:

Exposed is a soft, neutral brownie-pink with a slight rosy undertone. This is one of the matte blusher which has a tiny little shimmer that you might not noticed. Here's a little closer look you can see the Amazon River like design on the blush. How cute!!

The texture of the blush is soft and sheer. I always worried that powder blush might make my blush look dirty, but no matter how rough you swept it with your brush, it doesn't have this powder mess that I am expecting. (NARS, I am looking at you!)

Although when you look at it in the pan, it looks pretty plain brown. However, it look like a plum-ish pink blush which look very natural on skin. The pigmentation on this blush is incredible, and it goes on the skin really nicely. It doesn't make you look muddy at all.

My say:

I would think that the blusher seems to be a bit sheer on me with one swipe. I took me about 2 - 3 swipes depending on how pigmented I want my blush to me on my face, and voila! It looks awesome.

Though it is sheer, but it pick up the right pigment that you can control so you don't have to worry that you'll look like a clown. This is definitely one of the best natural blush I have in my stash. :)

The best part about this Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush, it stays on my skin quite long. Although it claims to last for 12 hours, but it only lasted me about 6 hours (imagine I am running on errands during the day) which is quite good.

Overall, I really love this blusher a lot!! The price USD49 is really steep, so I got them only on when there's discount. But this is definitely a blush that you would love to have if you're a blusher-freak like me. ^_^

Have you tried anything from Tarte? Do share with me how you find them.

Have a Good Friday!!

That's a really pretty blush on you! I'm surprised at how the color turned out because I thought it would turn out more brown but it's more pink. Might have to try it as I do like Tarte blushes.
