Review: SASA HD Perfect Foundation

The hype of this foundation started last year when Kimoko raved about it. Without second thought, I grabbed this foundie during Sasa anniversary sales. smile I know I'm a little too late for this- that's why I'm given the name of being 'slow'..*wink*During my uni days, there are too many dinners organized by clubs and schools which I need to attend. Therefore, the HD foundation craze about how you look perfect and flawless on camera got me into this. Practically I wanted to look good during the dinner and of coz some cam-whore :p

The Sasa HD Perfect Foundation is an in-house brand available in Sasa Store. It comes with 4 different shade color. Let's see how this works for me:

Packaging:The 30ml packaging is somehow similiar to my normal sunblock where you need to shake well and you could hear the "tak tak tak" sound like a ball rolling inside before squeezing it out. You might have to be very careful on how much pressure you put on squeezing the bottle, as you might overflow the product.

Texture:
The texture of the foundie is quite watery but it when smoothly and good enough for application either by hand, sponge or brush. The color of the foundation seems darker on hand but once it applies it turned out fairer. I got it at the darkest shade 04 Golden Beige which is quite a match for my NC25-NC30 skin.

Review:

This foundation gives medium coverage. Once applied you'll noticed a slightly whit
e cast, but after a moment it toned down to my skin color. I seriously adores the dewy look, which make my feature more prominent looking good in photo without photoshop-ing. Besides, I uses this foundation with my hand and it helps achieve the airbrush look. *drools*Look at the pic before and after:

My skin looks very flawless too, it covers my scars and even my dark eyes circle nicely. The staying powder of this foundation is quite good. I've applied this for an event from 7pm till 4am and my face still stays dewy.
I would suggest that you could apply makeup base before using this, as it has no oil-control at all. I'm lucky that I have combination skin and I only used this during prom/dinner which means I don't sweat at all. I've tried this on my friend who has an oily skin, it makes her face oily after 4-5hours of application.
Rating: 4/5 (Me likey! razz )

Overall, for an in-house brand product this foundation did quite a good job. I love how it makes me look so flawless in my photo, therefore I adores this product. The only downside is it might not suitable for oily skin or you'll have to blot your face. The retail price is RM55.90/ SGD18.30. It often comes with promotion and more than 40% discount.

Now I'm looking forward to try their new HD Hydro Face Powder and Cyber Colors HD foundation.
Here's my very first FOTD using this foundation. This picture is after 6hours of application and my face still look dewy :) This is my dinner/clubbing look. I knew I don't look good especially my dark eyes circle. :(

hi hun! we have the same skin tone (NC25-30)! only mine is a bit more yellowish than yours :)

it does have decent coverage, although i think it might be too yellow for you? from what i see, you have a natural, pinkish glow to your skin which looks great! :) maybe you can try a sheer foundation with some pink under tones next? :D

i like the liquid consistency of the sasa foundation, it looks very easy to apply, just like japanese sunscreen! i quite enjoy shaking my sunscreen in the morning. hahaha! :P

lavshuca melting eyes have received nice reviews from bloggers! some even say one quad is a dupe for guerlain bal de minuit palette (i forget which one) hihi :)

I couldn't use foundation with pink undertone because it's too pink. Yellow undertone foundation can fix with blusher. :)
Oh really?? Lavshuca melting eyes is dupe for guelain? I need to check it..

Thank you for the great review! The foundation looks great on you although like one other person who commented, I think that it might be a bit too yellow toned for you. I would love to try it too but I prefer a foundation with less yellow undertones.

Your FOTD picture is so pretty!
